I know I have been near to non-existent around here and I apologize to all for that. No excuses really except for busy schedules and not a whole lot to talk about. After Cubbie passed 2 months ago, Shasta was my last little one left. She had been diagnosed adrenal disease 1 1/2 years ago and had her good days and bad days. She got real nippy right after Cubbie passed...I think she was actually mad at me for taking Cubbie away. I took it pretty hard. I wanted to console her and for her to help me as well. We did get through it though, and she started playing again and letting me cuddle her...some. She passed in her sleep 1 week ago. I finally got the ferret room cleaned out this weekend...THAT was hard. I'm sure at some point I will be owned by ferrets again...but not until I'm retired OR rich and don't have to work. I need to have lots of home time allowed for the little angels. It's only fair to them.
In the meantime, I have friends nearby with babies I can visit for a fix.
I will keep dropping in here from time to time and will try not to be such a stranger.

I am sorry, many many hugs for your aching heart. Shasta may your trip over that bridge be safe and swift, may you be well met by all of our ferrets passed and especially your Cubbie. Come back and visit often little one.

Your heart will know when its time for more ferrets. It just needs to heal a bit right now. Hugs many many hugs right now.

I hear you Kim.....when the last patter of little ferrety feet leaves, there is a real pain. However, it is also knowing that at this time, it is best to get your fuzzy fixes elsewhere and knowing your limitations. Cleaning the room had to have hurt a great deal. Just remember all the fuzz who touched your life and how many lives you touched because of them.. Shasta is now at peace as she is once again with Cubbie...Take it easy and hopefully they all come tumbling home often in your dreams....

So very sorry to hear about Shasta.   Hugs  I have been down to just Meeko for awhile now, and have been noticing how thin and shaky on his legs he is getting.  I know the time is coming when it will be terribly quiet and empty here .... even with all the cats, birds, tortoises, etc., etc., etc. .....  Undecided
